What is PA resin?
PA (Polyamide - Polyamide) plastic, also known as "nylons", stands out for its high hardness, good durability, good corrosion resistance, low temperature resistance, easy processing, high glossiness, non-toxicity, easy to color. This plastic works well in the temperature from -40 degrees Celsius to 110 degrees Celsius, without deformation or damage to the product structure.
PA (Polyamide Resin) is the most known and widely used plastic product on the market today. PA (Polyamide) has good performance, is very hard, even at low temperature, and has high surface hardness, low mechanical shock, corrosion resistance. Combined with these properties along with electrical properties and chemical properties, the product has become a material of high popularity.
This material has many different lines such as: PA 6, PA 66, PA11, PA12…. Differences in physical properties are essential. Thanks to its outstanding advantages, PA is applied in the manufacture of components as well as the mechanical structure of devices. Usually produced in sheet or bar specifications.
Chemical structure of PA . resin material
PA resins are essentially long polymer chains, containing amide units (N-H-C=O). These polymers are obtained by acid polymerization with amides. For example: PA66 is obtained by the reaction of adipic acid with hexamethylenediamine.
Two common types of Plastic PA are PA6 and PA66. By modifying the chemical structure of these PAs, it is possible to obtain some other PAs such as PA11, PA12, etc.
Features Plastic PA
Here are the characteristics of this PA Resin:
1. Advantages Plastic PA
Work well in the temperature from -40 degrees Celsius to 110 degrees Celsius for a long time, without affecting the texture or shape of the material. The material only melts if the temperature reaches 240 degrees Celsius.
The hardness is HB 90, so the resistance to pressure of the material is quite good.
The product has good electrical insulation.
Self-lubricating due to a coefficient of friction of only 0.1. Therefore, this material is often used in the design of bearings of mechanical components.
Safe to use as a wrapping or food container
Easy to print and dye, low coefficient of friction
The stability of Pa beads in organic solvents is good
Has shock absorption and noise reduction properties.
Durable, light, easy to work with
2. Cons Plastic PA
Despite possessing many advantages, but this plastic also has some disadvantages. Here are some disadvantages of this material. Specifically:
The size of the material can change with expansion due to heat, or due to the absorption of water.
PAs acid resistance is poor, cant be dyed with acidic dyes
PA beads are rather poor color fastness, perform poorly in polluted environments.
Applications Plastic PA
PA plastic is often widely used in many manufacturing industries of life, such as:
Automotive industry:
- Fuel filter mesh
- Fuel filter
- Engine oil tank
- Engine block cover
- Radiator water tank
- Balancing gears
Electrical and electronic industry:
- Production of semiconductor pots
- Electric vacuum cleaner
- High heater…
In addition, this material is also used to produce plastic bags, raincoats, etc.
Plastic price PA
Product price PA plastic depends on the specifications of the product whether it is a tree or a sheet, the size, the diameter of the product... The prices for some specifications of the product are as follows:
Plant form: From 20 to 200, the price will be 50,000 VND/kg
Plate form: from 10 cups, price 110,000 VND/kg
